A’ Seinn nan Sailm Gaelic Psalmody

Recognising that many in our community are, or have become, unfamiliar with singing psalms in the traditional manner, the comann is running a Gaelic Psalmody course, held fortnightly in the Back Community Hut. (Note the change of venue!) There is no need to book, just come along. All ages and abilities are welcome.

Programme

Each class will run for 1 hour, from 7pm to 8pm. The plan for each evening is given here for reference, but may be subject to change on the night.

An optional literal translation has been provided for each psalm; this is very rough and is only intended as an aid to understanding the Gaelic vocabulary.

Podcast

You can subscribe to the class as a podcast, which may make it easier for you to listen if using an iPhone. Go to the Podcasts app, then to Library. Tap on the three dots at the top right of the screen, then select "Follow a Show by URL...". Paste this into the dialog that appears:

The latest tunes will appear in your app as they are uploaded, and you can create playlists to suit your own needs. (You may find it beneficial to turn on automatic downloads using the "down arrow" at the top right of the show's homepage.)
